SEAPORT-E

SeaPort-e is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas including Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management.  The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corps, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) compete their service requirements amongst 1800+ SeaPort-e IDIQ multiple award contract holders.

The SeaPort-e portal provides a standardized, efficient means of soliciting offers from amongst the diverse population of large and small businesses and their approved team members.  All task orders are competitively solicited, awarded and managed using the SeaPort-e platform.  Since nearly 85% of its contract–holders are small businesses, the SeaPort-e approach to acquiring services provides opportunity that fuels the Nation’s engine of job growth.

QUALITY ASSURANCE GUARANTEE

As an ISO 9001:2008 registered company, Compass Systems inserts Quality Assurance during every phase of our projects. Compass Systems will use our ISO 9001:2008 registered Quality Management System to produce compliant products, services, documents, and related deliverables in support of all task orders awarded under our SeaPort-e prime contract throughout all seven zones. Our methods of assuring quality of services and deliverables include advance planning, assignment of qualified staff resources and necessary tools, and use of appropriate program and project management techniques.

Compass Systems’ quality management approach is designed to prevent, reduce, or eliminate problems that might compromise ability to perform on time, within budget, or according to the task requirements. Our approach includes:

  • Developing a Quality Assurance Plan for the task
  • Developing and monitoring metrics to ensure project objectives are met
  • Coordinating with Government counterparts to establish quality objectives and determining the scope, frequency and reporting of quality assessments
  • Coordinating with task team members regarding quality management
  • Conducting periodic Quality Assurance Reviews

Compass Systems’ ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System has all the necessary processes, procedures, tools, and forms required to support Team Compass and our successful execution of SeaPort-e tasks.
